Leadership coaching for engineering leaders
One-to-one coaching from a former CTO and VP of Engineering who has coached tech leaders since 2019.
Who it’s for
- New team leads finding their feet
- Engineering managers moving from doing the work to leading the people who do it
- Directors building and leading other managers
- First-time CTOs and VPs of Engineering stepping into the top seat
What we typically work on
- Stepping into a bigger role. What to let go of, what to take on, and how to earn trust quickly.
- Building a leadership team. Hiring, growing and trusting the managers under you.
- Delivery under pressure. Getting a team to ship predictably without burning it out.
- Difficult conversations. Feedback, underperformance, conflict and saying no to stakeholders.
- From engineer to manager. Finding your new source of impact and satisfaction.
You bring the real situations you face that week. I bring structure, good questions and, when it helps, my own experience from Seznam.cz, Kiwi.com, Moravio, ThreatMark and IP Fabric.
Format
- Packages of 6–10 sessions, 60 minutes each
- Usually every two to three weeks
- Remote over video, or in person in Brno and Prague
- In English, Czech or Slovak
- Paid by you or by your company
Final price depends on the number of sessions and who pays. We agree it after the intro call.
Questions
Is what we discuss confidential?
Yes. Nothing from our sessions is shared with anyone, including your employer when they pay for the coaching. If the company wants to know how it is going, we agree together what you report back.
Can my company pay for the coaching?
Yes, most clients have their employer pay. I can send a short proposal for your manager or HR, and we agree the goals with you first.
How does invoicing work?
I invoice the whole package up front, either to you or to your company, in euros or Czech crowns.
What if I need to cancel a session?
Let me know at least 24 hours before and we move the session to another time. Later cancellations count as a used session.
Remote or in person?
Most sessions are remote over video. In person works in Brno and Prague. Sessions are in English, Czech or Slovak.
How is coaching different from mentoring?
A mentor mostly shares their own experience. In coaching you work out your own answers, and I bring structure, questions and, when it helps, my experience as a CTO and VP of Engineering.
