Engineering Leadership Coach & Fractional CTO. Former CTO and VP of Engineering, coaching tech leaders since 2019.

I’ve worked in tech since 2007, and I’ve led people almost from the start. A few weeks into my first job as a support developer, I was the most experienced person on the team and was looking after a few part-time developers.

In 2008 I moved from Ostrava to Brno and joined Seznam.cz, then a fast-growing company. Two years later I was running some of its services and my first serious team.

The biggest turn came around 2018, when I went through two year-long coaching programmes. They changed how I lead and how I work with people. At Kiwi.com I moved from engineering into full-time leadership coaching and coached engineering leaders while the company grew from 60 to 450 developers. Leading Scrum teams under the LeSS framework shaped me just as much.

After that I went back to running engineering myself: as CTO at Moravio, VP of Engineering at ThreatMark and Director of Product Engineering at IP Fabric, where I’ve led up to 50 engineers. So when I coach CTOs and engineering managers, I’ve usually been in a very similar seat.
